May I ask Your opinion?

Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a Heaven and Hell?
If you died right now, where would you go? If Heaven, why?
If what you believe is not true, do you want to know it?

 God’s Word (the Bible) says:         

 (Read these verses out loud and then ask  “What does this mean to you?”)

1.We are sinners. “Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God’s glory.“ Rom. 3:23

2. There is a price for sin. “The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is eternal life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom. 6:23

3. Jesus paid the price. “Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God’s love for us.” Rom. 5:8

4. He rose from the dead”...Christ died to take away our sins…He was placed in a tomb. He was brought back to life on the third day…He appeared to Peter. Next He appeared to the 12 apostles. Then He appeared to more than 500… “
I Cor. 15:3-6

5. We must receive Him “If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved. By believing you receive God’s approval, and by declaring your faith (trust) you are saved. “ Rom. 10:9-10

6.(Jesus said)” I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the father (God) except through me.”  John 14:6

7. God loved the world this way: “He gave His only son (Jesus) so that everyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life.” John 3:1

Now, let me ask you these important questions. According to what we just read:

Are you a sinner and do you want to change? Rom. 3:23

Do you understand the penalty for sin?  Rom.6:23

Do you want God’s forgiveness for sin?  Rom. 5:8

Do you understand that Christ died on the cross for you and came back alive?  I Cor.15:3-6

Are you willing to declare your faith in Jesus and surrender your life to Him as your savior and master? Rom. 10:9-10  

Receiving Christ is a personal decision.

“This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in His son. The person who has the Son has this life. The person who does not have the Son of God doesn’t have this life.”  1 John 5:11-12

If you have made the decision to ask Jesus Christ into your life by declaring your trust in Him, and to become a new person, then I ask you to simply pray this prayer.

(This is a suggested prayer to ask Christ into your life. Please read aloud)  

“Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner and need a savior. Thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross for my sin and to give me eternal life.  Please come into my life and take control of my life. Make me the person you intended for me to be. Thank you Lord Jesus.  Amen"

What happened, and will continue, since you asked Christ into your life?

Look at this diagram of a fire. As you think about it, it will help you understand how to grow as a new person in Jesus.

1. Fires need an ignition point, a spark, to get started. Your spark was your faith (trust) the moment you prayed and asked Jesus to come into your life.

2. Fires need fuel to burn and grow. The more fuel, or power, the stronger the fire can become. The fuel for your growth is God’s Word (the Bible) and prayer (talking to God). Study God’s word and pray everyday to grow stronger in your faith.

3. Fires need an environment that is supportive, one that feeds and nourishes it. You, too, need that type of environment. Become part of a group of other believers in Jesus (a church) that will nourish you as a new person in Christ Jesus. As the fire is fed and grows, you begin to feel its warmth. Soon, you will begin to feel God’s warmth and joy flowing through your life.

Do not depend on your feelings or emotions, but on your trust in God and His word!

Congratulations!  When you invited Jesus Christ into your heart, you made the most important decision of your life. Let’s review your decision:

1. I admitted that I am sorry I‘m a sinner, I want to change, and I need a savior. (repented)

2. I declared that I believe that God sent Christ, His only son, to die on the cross for my sins and came back to life! (confessed).

3. I prayed and asked Jesus to come into my life as my Lord and Savior and I gave Him control of my life (faith).

4. I became a new person through trusting in Christ Jesus (born again)!

It is my prayer that from this day forward, God will pour out His love and blessing on you and you will experience an abundant and full life! Welcome to the family of God through Christ Jesus!
